The Registered Nursing Assistant Program (also known as a Certified Nursing Assistant Program) at the James Rumsey School of Practical Nursing trains students to become safe and effective nursing assistants that can work in long term care or in acute care. The program follows a rigorous training schedule and includes basic patient care and expands to acute and critical care training to include catheter care and insertion, electrocardiography fundamentals, IV discontinuation, and many other acute care skills required by hospitals. Once you graduate the course, you will sit for the CNA examination and receive your West Virginia Certification upon successful completion.
Cost of the RNA Course
Total cost of the program is $1500, inclusive of the cost of the tuition, lab fee, textbooks, testing fee, uniforms an equipment.
Times and Days
Classes are Monday and Tuesday, from 5pm to 745pm. Clinicals are Wednesday or Thursday (depending on your group) from 4pm to 11pm. The course is an 11 week program, with part time class schedules. The first three weeks are Monday through Thursday, from 5pm to 745 pm for initial training.
